Meet the next participant of ZARYA AiR program: Ivan Novikov (b. 1990) is an artist, art researcher and curator. Ivan lives and works in Moscow, Russia and Hue, Vietnam. He graduated from the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow and Baza Institute of Contemporary Art (Moscow). He is a co-founder of Center Red artist run space in Moscow, a member of editorial board of Moscow Art Magazine, and a head of painting department of Baza Institute. Ivan is a nominee of Kandinsky Prize (2015) and Innovation Prize (2016). During his stay at ZARYA AiR, Ivan Novikov is going to investigate hybrid identity of Vladivostok as one of the main spots where Russia expands into Far East.
